Higher Program Overview    

The programme has been designed with the aim of developing jewellery designer/ Jewellery Product Controllers with Jewellery Designing concept both, manual as well as computer aided 2-dimensional & 3-dimensional and also technical drawing, properties of precious metals. Candidates go through intensive practical training in hand made & cast jewellery manufacturing techniques, metal work & fabrication, stone setting, Jewellery chain making & Bangle Making, finishing, jewellery repairing, metal refining. They are also given knowledge of polished diamond grading, colour gemstone identification, industrial engineering and import-export procedures apart from live projects, seminar and assignments on business study & market research. A trained person can work as an independence consultant or secure a job with jewellery manufactures/traders.

Monday to Friday only

08.00 – 13.30 or 11.00 – 16.30 or 14.15 – 19.30 hrs

  

Basic Design, Technical drawing, Jewellery designing (Manual), Metallurgy, Basics of computer operation. Jewellery designing (Computer-aided), Orientation in Diamond manufacturing, Properties of Gold & precious metal, 3-D jewellery designing (Computer-aided), Germmology, Polished Diamond Grading, Industrial Engineering, International system of diamond grading, Metal work & fabrication, stone setting, Machine cast Jewellery manufacturing, CAM technology in production, Finishing / Polishing / Plating techniques, Metal assaying & refining, Jewellery repairing, Import-export management, Jewelllery appraising, Project & Seminar on Business study & Market research, Internship.
