ACCREDITED ASSAYERS' TRAINING PROGRAMME AS PER IS:1418

Programme Overview

This programme is specially designed to produce assayers aspiring to work in precious metals assaying centre e. g., Hallmarking & Assaying Centers. They can make their careers as Chief Assayers/Assaying Lab Professionals/Head of Assaying Center etc.. They can also open their own Assay Lab to issue assay certificates.
TIMINGS
Monday - Friday (5 hours per day)

WHAT YOU LEARN
• Basics of precious metals
• Alloying of precious metals and the resulting
   relationship of the alloy
• Physical properties, Mechanical properties
   and its compositions
• Exposure to various Assaying Techniques
• Knowledge of various Indian Standards (IS)
   like IS: 1418, IS: 1417, IS: 2790, IS: 3095
• Practical exposure to process of assaying of
   precious metals as per IS: 1418
• Hands on experience of handling of various
  equipments used in assaying center like
   balance (up to 0.02 mg) accuracy, XRF
   Machine, Sampling tools & techniques and
   their equipments & apparatus.
